The Daily Grind: Momofuku Milk Bar

I've been really into trying affogatos lately.  When I see it on a menu I know I have to try it.  I was biking on Columbus Avenue when I noticed their sign outside advertising affogato with cereal milk.  Milk Bar uses Stumptown beans, so I knew this would be good.  It did not disappoint. 

The Milk Bar affogato is definitely decadent.  It was very good, but probably not something I would order regularly. 

Love these cook books.  So tempted to take the plunge and but one.  Which one to choose!?

Milk Bar advertised their Thanksgiving Croissant on their instagram a few weeks ago.  When I went to try it (the real reason I went to Milk Bar) they were all sold out.  With food in mind I tried their pork bun and was happily pleased.  Until next year Thanksgiving Croissant!

The Daily Brew: Toby's Estate Bedford Espresso Blend

About every month I break open a new bag of coffee beans.  This past month, November I have been brewing Toby's Estate Bedford Espresso Blend.  I was buying it as a gift, and decided I should try it, too.  I'm so happy I did!  This has been one of my favorite brews for 2015.

 I grind the beans at home before each brew.  It's super quick, and easy. 

Most days I make this in the morning before I bike to work.  I prefer to use a drip coffee machine.  I can turn it on when I wake up, have a cup while I get ready, then pour the rest in my Klean Kanteen for the office. 

Coffee + a spoon full of sugar. ;)

My sister got me this coffee cup from Anthro last year, and I love it!
