The Witches Brew is one of my favorite coffee shops. It's located on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, New York. My go to is a chocolate cappuccino freeze and red velvet cake. They are delightful!

I have been really enjoying brewing espresso in my new espresso pot. I bought these beans at Murray's Cheese Shop downtown, where I had them grind the beans for me. The beans were ground super fine, and I am tasting the difference in my espresso. The result is a much stronger and better cup. Initially I was worried that if I ground the beans too fine I would have very grainy espresso, but that hasn't been the case. Black Cat Classic has been one of my favorite espresso beans I have brewed on my pot so far.

Cheese is one of my favorites foods. I love a good creamy blue cheese. Cambozola creamy blue cheese is one of my favorites along with Fromager d'Affinois blue double cream blue brie. Last year when I discovered Murray's Cheese Shop I was very happy. The coffee was actually what brought me to the store, though. It was the one week at work where my company stopped carrying Wandering Bear Coffee Co coffee and I was desperate. I went to buy a box of coffee, and left with the box and a grilled cheese in hand. They make grilled cheese sandwiches fresh on site that you can take out or eat on one of their high top tables.
Murray's Cheese Shop normally has a great selection of coffee beans, so I sought them out in the back of the store. I picked up espresso beans from Intelligentsia. As I am still trying to perfect my brewing method for making espresso at home I said yes when the woman at checkout asked if I wanted the beans ground. I normally like to grind beans at home before each brew for the freshest cup. Having them grind the beans on their espresso setting worked really well. I brewed up a cup of espresso this morning, and it was finally a strong and yummy cup.
Noosa pumpkin yogurt is out of this world!
Here I poured the Wandering Bear Coffee Co cold brew coffee over ice, added milk, and sugar. Perfect way to start the work day!
Look how fresh and yummy the ground espresso beans look! Yippee!

During Open House New York this fall some friends and I headed over to JFK to see the TWA Flight Center. The same group of friends had gone the previous year, but I couldn't go at last minute. I was so excited to go this year. I had seen photos, and it looked so beautiful.

MoMA has become one of my favorite museums. I love checking out the new exhibits. They are never anything short of fabulous. The most recent exhibit I've gone to see was the Picasso Sculpture exhibit. My sister, Kelsey and I went one day after work. We enjoyed walking through the exhibit. She read every description box in the exhibit! It was interesting to read the materials used in the different works of art.
These coffee beans have been called celebrity coffee beans. When I received an e-mail from Blue Bottle telling me this I immediately bought two bags. One for my sister and one for myself. My sister, Lucy tried the beans and said it was the best coffee she ever had, and made her rethink the coffee beans she was buying. She is now going to try and roast her own beans at home! Very ambitious stuff. I'll be interested to hear how it turns out.
