The Travel Grind: Lil's Cafe, Kittery, Maine

This fall a friend and I ventured up to Maine for another friend's baby shower.  The weekend was filled with wonderful people, beautiful views, and celebration.  It was so good to see old friends and meet new ones.  I had mentioned my interest in coffee shops, and someone suggested Lil's in Kittery, Maine.  Apparently the crullers were worth going for alone!

Lil's is at the end of town.  We parked near by and headed over.  The cafe used to be a bank.  Right outside of the cafe is the drive through, which has been turned into a smoothie shop.  Love the bike handing on the pole.

Saw this cute guy waiting for it's owner to come out of the shop on our way in.

Crullers!!!!! My friend and I were lucky enough to be there when fresh ones came out of the kitchen.  They were so good we took some home for our friends.

Just look at the delightfulness!

The coffee shop was open and bright.  We were enjoying our visit so much we decided to grab a seat here and have lunch.

Here you can see the original vault inside of the coffee shop.  I love it when places keep the remains of old buildings.

  1. I've seen a couple of other events at other places, but this was my first time in here. It was amazing! Great venue Houston, it's smaller than those bigger places but it is still a fair sized venue. Food was great and I think it's recently renovated - it didn't seem old or anything.
