What I'm reading on vacation

This weekend I'm heading up to Okemo in Vermont for skiing with my family and family friends.  This is our second annual trip together to Okemo and I'm super excited.  Just hoping there's enough snow on the mountain to ski!  I have a few books and magazines that I will be reading on the trip.  Things are always so busy I hardly read anymore.  I am looking forward to finishing a book, and maybe two!

This week I started reading Silver Bay by Jojo Moyes. I've read a few books by this author, and have particularly liked Me Before You.  I can't wait to read the sequel!  I'm on a waitlist to get it from the library.  This book has been good so far.  I'm only on the first few chapters, so nothing exciting has happened yet besides a whale sighting (haha).

I also have the book Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg on my phone, and am about one third of the way in.  This book is really good.  As someone in their twenties it's nice to hear about another woman's experience in the workforce and to learn from it.  She has had a very successful career, but what I like most about her writing is that it's not showy.  I'll be interested to get to the end of this book and really think about my job and how her advice applies to me.

I LOVE magazines.  For me it's all about the glossy pictures.  I love the photo stories and beautiful photography.  This weekend I am particularly excited to read the December/January Harper's Bazaar.  It's been sitting around my room for about a month untouched.  This issue is thick compared to the slim January issues from Vogue and InStyle (which is good for keeping things light on my travels!).

Happy Friday!
