The Travel Grind: Intelligentsia Coffee, Wicker Park

As I mentioned in my previous post, my sister's and I took a road trip across the U.S. two summers ago.  When planning the trip my sisters took the lead.  My one input was that I wanted to stop in Chicago if possible.  Chicago was high on my list of cities I wanted to visit, and possibly live.  Going to Intelligentsia in Chicago was an absolute must for me.  They are originally from Chicago, and I was super excited to try them on their own turf!  I went to their Wicker Park location (609 W Division St, Chicago, IL 60622).  The coffee shop is on the first floor of a super modern building.

I took the subway from the city center to this location.  It was a beautiful day outside.  I ordered an iced coffee and had a sip of water to stay.

Back in the city center, I met my sisters at the bean.  We had to check it out in person and take the obligatory bean selfie.  On my way to meet them I walked by this cool modern art installation.

Chicago was a beautiful city.  I loved being there in the summer.  I can't wait until I go back again and explore more!

Long car rides can make the most sane a little cookie...
